I don't like to start working on new builds until I have everything planned out and parts in-hand. This will be another predominantly all SBUS system. I will be adding a Futaba SBD-1 for a couple PWM channels which do not not support SBUS. Specifically the landing gear, smoke pump and throttle. Other than that - 100% SBUS.

Bill of Materials:
  • Futaba RXs 2 x 7008SBs ( to be used as satellites) I intend to stick with Futaba until I decide to pull the trigger on a PB Core. It is on my wish list, it looks hands-down like the best radio out there.
  • Futaba servos 7 x BLS175SVs for control and 2 x BLS171SVs for the rudders
  • Powerbox Source as a battery backer
  • Powerbox iGyro SRS (love these units or anything PB)
  • Powerbox Smoke pump (non-jet version - I prefer this one when I am using a single injector tube)
  • Powerbox Lightbox - I am putting together a custom light system. I am using predominantly off the shelf LEDs and an AB ring. PB makes the best controller, I have a jet with the Details for Scale unit and another PB Lightbox. They are night and day different. I have tried the mom/pop shop lights but feel UNI-Lights work best for my use.
  • Self-made 16 port SBUS hub
  • Powerbox 1e for nose
  • Intairco UAT and Super Filter (used this in a Rebel & love them)
  • JP Hobby retracts (I've heard mixed reviews on these, they came with the jet so I'll form my own opinion)
  • Kingtech K142G4 (this thing is smaller & lighter than a K120G2 and blows harder than a K140G2)
  • H9 turnbuckle pushrods
  • Robart Hinge-points (yes - no more CA hinges on this version. Thank you Larry!)
  • DMP smoke injector tube
I know my shop is a mess, I intend to paint the walls, floors, etc... Its a new house so I am not yet settled, so plz pardon the boxes, clutter and messiness.
