Ultimate Jets is bringing the McDonnell F3h2 Demon to the model jet market in 1/7 Scale. This size is perfect for the new compact 140 turbines available today. The Demon has been one of my “bucket list” planes for a long time! My dad worked on the tooling for them at “MacAir”. I had started drawing a large Demon in CAD a few years ago and then I heard a rumor that Ultimate Jets was in the process of kitting the Demon. After many many conversations with Olivier Nicolas, I ended up with a pre production prototype in my sweaty hands! This is the second airplane pulled from the production tooling. I’ve been asked to assist in the product development of this ARF. Since mine is preproduction, I’m certain a few items will change as the process matures. The model came in a very odd shaped box for a 103” long jet...... it is almost square!
