Default RE: Changes to AMA Safety Code

no one ever said that inteligence was a requirement for election to high office at the ama.
a solid reading of the safety code proves the general lack of inteligence on the part of the rule writers<G>.

Be nice! Be thankful that they didn't allow lawyers to write the rules! Just think how confusing all those wherefore and parties of the first part would be.

Seriously, it is very clear that the EC makes their share of mistakes since they are human. However, they strive to correct errors in a manner that have positive impacts when they can find the way. An example is the change in the rule for R/C combat from limiting engine size to increasing the set back for larger engines. I happen to think that particular improvement sort of paves the way for modifying the new 'no tail touch' rule, which would make more people winners. We would be safer AND we could have our fun too and at the same time show off our skills (or is it stupidity to tail touch a $10,000 airplane????) for all to see.
