I am also looking for a buggy I think that the ofnas are good and to answer If you can built one from a kit yes you can they come with instructions here a lot of people say that for a begginer buy a kit but I dont think that is right I bought an onroad rtr and by the second month I wanted a kit so I bought one (I am still stuck with the rtr) and to tell you the truth it is not rocket science all you need is patience and follow the instuctions. The advantage from an rtr is that you can start almost right away to run but I think we are all here in this hobbie because we like to built things so IMO a kit is better because it is more "competitive" (fater, long lasting, etc) besides you learn a lot from building them. the only thing is that in a kit you need also a radio system and an engine.
