Hi Geoff,
The Jett muffler/mini pipe has an optimum RPM range. I will suggest starting with a 12 x 7 (I prefer APC props). You might try sending an email to Dub Jett, too. He can probably give you some specific recommendations. You should not need a head shim, the OS #8 is the correct plug and the fuel mix sounds good.
