On mine I stuck Velcro to the tank that the strap goes over. That stops it moving around. It does need something at the front or back to stop it ‘swinging’ side to side.

Its on the water now, but with container delays in Europe and Brexit mess I’ll be lucky to see it for Xmas. Yes, I know you ‘stole’ 😉 my scheme. It’s one I spent ages looking for.
