I've never owned an elmod, but shouldn't it have a spot for the 8-pin connector to plug in on the Elmod board? I've seen diagrams here that explain all the functions of the eight different pins, you might have to trace each function to make sure it's connected in the proper place. When I first saw your thread I was hoping you were going to give me lots of good reasons to buy an elmod, since I have a JS-2 myself, but it's not looking good so far. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, hope you get things sorted and I'll be watching to see how things turn out.
