Default Elmod with taigen JS-2

I recently got the JS-2 IR kit from Taigen as well as the new elmod fusion x.
However none of the functions that work through the 8 pin turret connector are functional. It is probably a layer 8 issue I am just curious if theres any common issues or simple things I've completely overlooked. My 3 brain cells are at a loss right now.

I've never owned an elmod, but shouldn't it have a spot for the 8-pin connector to plug in on the Elmod board? I've seen diagrams here that explain all the functions of the eight different pins, you might have to trace each function to make sure it's connected in the proper place. When I first saw your thread I was hoping you were going to give me lots of good reasons to buy an elmod, since I have a JS-2 myself, but it's not looking good so far. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, hope you get things sorted and I'll be watching to see how things turn out.
