RE: best sim for landing
I've had G2 for a couple weeks now. Also have FMS. I was pleased to be able to get the Realflight controller to work with FMS. Much nicer than a joystick!
Anyway, G2 is a couple orders of magnitude more real than FMS. You do get what you pay for. I've tried most of the planes and they land about like the real thing. You can control wind, gusts, direction, thermals etc. Once you get used to a 'Flying site' and know where the runway is, you can do touch and goes for hours. And you can slow it down to a crawl if you want.
Have already learned slow rolls, rolling circles and inverted flight with confidence.
I wish I'd had this five years ago.
