The operator manual says to start with the slot of the ignition pickup sensor centered on the retaining screw. Turning the sensor clockwise to advance the ignition, counterclockwise to retard it. Full advance is 32 degrees BTDC.

I have the 26cc engine but have yet to run it. What is everyone's take on these engines, are they fairly reliable? I bought it mainly for the price, and don't plan to run it much, the plane is mainly for display.
