Thanks for the insight guys. The part about wanting the tank always near cg makes sense and I was already thinking about using the CARF mount in the rear as a template to create a longer one that would be needed with the FATTER and SHORTER 5L CMJets tank.

I used the Carf template added another plywood piece traced out the tube diameter, and cut it to lower the back end of the tank so there's a 2mm space between the fuselage and tank. It was touching the top of the fuse so modifications were made. This ply piece wraps the tube 180 degrees, i added a block of balsa in between the tank bracket to prevent side-to-side movement as there are only two-three mm bolts holding the front tank of 5 litres to the airframe.
With this 6 liter tank and bracket hysol to my CMJETS tank, I found it's too large of a diameter to go through the front tank bracket, so i can only move my tank about 12-15cm forwards for doing maintenancelike clunk line changing and such.
