IT FLYS!!!!!!!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, I'm pleased to say that my C50 flies.

Finally got it in the air today, three flights in total. More tomorrow (this could get addictive)

OK flight report from first three flights:

Disappointments:
- I had more roll and pitch coupling on rudder than I was expecting in knife edge, nothing major and easy to correct.
- I was hoping downlines would be straight, but it tends to pull out.
(I'm thinking of pushing the CoG forward a bit, which may reduce both of these)
- The position of the elevator servo means you get funny angles on the linkage, so I dont get even throw, and it is hard to increase the throw from what I have at the moment.
- I need a bit more side thrust

Thats about it really,

Plus points:
- its fantastic!

The Saito 72 had no trouble pulling it around and straight up.

Now bear in mind I have never done these things ever before, by the third flight I was getting the hang of parachutes, elevators and walls. Keving (3drcheli) was surprised that I managed to go from an elevator into a harrier. This is something he hasnt managed yet.

Had a few goes at blenders, but I need to work on them. Need to work on the timing of throttle on the tumbling manouvers as well.

Did a knife edge cuban eight (never done one of them before either ), and may have a go at knife edge loops tomorrow.

Still quite a bit of sorting out to do. I have already increased the throw on the elvators and rudder, and decreased on ailerons. We'll see how that goes tomorrow.

Major work will be to move the battery further forward, and to put in more side thrust. May do them tomorrow afternoon.

Well, this plane is far too much fun. should be banned, it cant be healthy

Archie, nice photos should be sent to you tomorrow.
