Thanks for your response. I have experience building models but I’m also open to buying something. As far as materials, I’ve seen a lot of diy projects made with insulation foam and fiberglass. Appearance is low on the list of priorities. The sort of things I’d like advice on are size, hull shape and choice of motor. I’m wondering if a catamaran might also be a good choice and would a shrouded prop be any quieter than an open one.
