And that may be the case. If it is, a receiver is an easy swap. I would contact Horizon Hobby and see what they have to say. If they agree, they might just send you a receiver which, if the guy at the hobby shop knows what he's doing, he should be able to swap it out and verify it was the issue. If Horizon feels they need to verify the diagnosis, they may ask you to send it in and then they could fix it. Either way, since it was purchased recently, it should still within the warranty period. If that is the case, they may do whatever repairs are needed and ship it back for free. You won't know unless you ask.
