What kind of boat are you planning on installing this in? Generally speaking, nitro and gas fueled boats don't really need a pump since water is pushed through the cooling system by the boat moving forward. The exception to this is if the boat has a clutch so that it can stop while the engine is running. A clutched boat, when sitting still, doesn't have any pressure pushing water through the cooling system unless it has a pump to pull water into the system
yes, I’m running a mono hull with a clutch. I wanted to have “Fresh water” hit the cylinder as well as the exhaust manifold. I did the mod this morning. Works like a charm. So now I have 1 inlet and 2 outlets. What’s your opinion on hose routing. Currently I have one pump outlet going through the cylinder then to the exhaust where the pip connects to the header and out. The other water outlet is dedicated to the exhaust flange since I figured that would have the highest temps. When I feel the water at each outlet the exhaust flange water is still cool when it comes out. The other is warm.
