My Dad has a outboard model of this engine he bought new in 1961,he does not have the box or paperwork. Is this a rare collectors item?? We found a couple on Ebay, they sold for over $100 each, he paid $23 new!! Anyone know of any collectors of old outboards?
These outboards are Not rare, there at least 10 for sale on eBay right now. They are collectable, there was a twin version as well as an "inboard" version. The prices some eBay'ers are listing these has
gone so high as to be ridiculous! on average a fair price would be $100 to $150.00 for the single Sea Fury and $200.00 to $250 for a Mint in the box twin. Again, they aren't rare so if you just keep your eyes open you can usually find one at a reasonable price.
