My Dad has a outboard model of this engine he bought new in 1961,he does not have the box or paperwork. Is this a rare collectors item?? We found a couple on Ebay, they sold for over $100 each,he paid $23 new!! Anyone know of any collectors of old outboards?

I will have to take some pics of it when my Dad brings it to my house. It is a .049,with the tank built onto the engine. It is in great shape still. He never put it on a boat,he just ran it on his teat stand along time ago.

Let me know what you want for it, and pictures woudl be great, this isnt the one I was thinking about, there was one with twin .049's that I have wanted for a long time. But I am still interested, I have a boat that is set up fr an outboard that my Dad built in the 60's and I want to set it up again.
Thanks,
Thanks,

I will post pics as soon as I can.I did see a twin on Ebay about a month ago.I think it sold for $155 and it was missing the prop and fuel tank!So I am guessing these are hard to come by.

gone so high as to be ridiculous! on average a fair price would be $100 to $150.00 for the single Sea Fury and $200.00 to $250 for a Mint in the box twin. Again, they aren't rare so if you just keep your eyes open you can usually find one at a reasonable price.
