Default Unusual plane

Always interested in prototype planes. Perhaps one of the most extreme is the Handley Page HP115.
Intended to explore the low speed flight characteristics of very highly swept deltas as this was seen as the most likely shape for a plane to exceed mach 2.

Seemed like it would make a good EDF if build light enough.
The finished plane built using 3mm sheet Depron.

It uses a 55mm EDF. As I fly from a rather rough grass field it is a hand launch/belly land.
It is quite stable at high AOA which can be taken to the extreme for a true "flop"landing.
The story is that as a good test pilot Buzz Aldrin asked to fly it but as he was slated for a moon mission NASA said no but when he returned he did indeed fly it!
