This is for all you guys ( and gals ) that might think you`re taking a long time to solo, don`t let it discourage you! Work, schedule conflicts, weather, crashing my Avistar and having to switch to a low wing ( Brightstar), flying well one trip to the field, then having a day the next time where it was like I`d never flown before, all conspired to delay my solo. There was more than a little frustration at times. But today was the day!! Made a couple of nice landings on the buddy box and my instructor said, " OK, unplug this thing." Took off, flew some around, did a couple of loops, lined my Avistar ( now repaired ) up on final and just greased it!! What a rush! Now it`s on to the three P`s and my eventual second plane, a WM T-34. Patience and persistence do indeed pay off! Stick with it!!
