P-47 thunderbolt from KYHK at 1:4.5 (2.85m)
Hello,
I open an tread about the P-47 thunderbolt ARF from KYHK. I am currently in progress to mount the motor Fiala R250 and all components.
I make some modification about the kit to save weight, especially for correct CG and avoid nose balast...
It's a very big model, little bigger than CARF, better in many things, especially access to the interior from the removable canopy.
Fiala / Valach R250
Some pretty self made exhaust
Removable RC electronics tray.
Spacer for engine mount
6mm and 8mm spacer
The gap between motor bulk and engine hood is too small...if the motor have overheating issue it will be necessarily to make it bigger
Spacer to avoid that radial come to close at the green part
For save weight at rear of CG, i make some modification. The kit comes with 1 elevator servo...for this big plane i want 2 servos in the elevator. I cut the original elevator mechanics away for save weight.
The manufacturer ad 1 servo place in the rear wheel support. For me this is to heavy. I make the guidance withe push/pull cable.
