This is whit I find on it .
Yes, the Tamiya 1/16 scale Leopard 2A6 and 2A7V models feature largely the same engine sounds.
Both models use Tamiya's advanced Multi-Function Units (DMD units) that digitally record the same real-life MTU MB873-Ka501 turbocharged diesel engine, which is utilized in both variants.
Key Sound Features:
  • Engine Synchronization: The engine sound changes in pitch and volume to match the speed of the tank.
  • Startup/Shutdown: Both models feature realistic startup, idling, and shutdown sounds.
  • System Shared Component: The Tamiya Leopard 2A7V (Kit #56047) uses the T-12 DMD Unit, while the earlier 2A6 (Kit #56020) uses the T-07 DMD Unit. While the unit numbers differ due to upgraded electronics (such as supporting the 2A7V's specific lights), the core engine sound recordings are designed to represent the same powerplant.
