I know this is an old post, however, due to an issue of copyright infringement claims by a newcomer, I would like to know if anyone out there knows for 100% who owns, if not in the public domain based on US copyright law of pre 1970 publications) the copyrights to the Midwest ME 109 model airplane design in either the 33" or 48" size? There is a guy who is claiming copyright status on these and many of the Veco planes that by all accounts, have been in the public domain for years, if not decades. When asked for proof of his claim, there was no evidence given and it seems he was only trying to scare away competitive kit makers. It would be most helpful for many if there were definitive answers to such questions...
