Bottom spar was ok, but had unglued itself from the central bracing, so that was re glued.
Sprink... I dont mean to be rude.... but how old is your glue ? What type are you using ? Where do you store it?
Im equally amazed now that the spar "came UNGLUED" as I am the hinges pulling out !
I think we need to review what type of glue you are using and/or your application technique.....
Glad its going back together though !
Probably Grip, as that is what is sold mostly around here, so that is what I mostly use. Not that old, I get the smallest bottles as I know they go off, and rarely finish the bottle before it is starting to go off, so it gets thrown away.
The spar only came unglued at one end. Only place I can see that this happened either on the wing or fuz (when pulling the sheeting off the wing, it left nice chunks on the ribs, which I had to cut off).
As for technique, with thin I hold the two pieces to gether, and put a drop on the join.
I'll have to have another look at the hinges, but I still believe I simply did not use enough. As I said I havent used CA hinges much before, and certainly not in such a high stress environment. I usually prefer to hinge with the profilm covering, or failing that epoxy in mylar hinges.
