I use 1&6 for flaperons and 2&8 for dual elevator servos. I just plug my battery wherever I have a spare channel. If you run out of channels, plug the servo into one side of a Y-harness, the battery into the other, and both into the same channel.
It depends on how many servos you are using but I would be sure to use a heavy duty Y harness.
