DC engines are easy to start and run well. Don't expect super performance. They are mildly tuned and very tolerant of poor settings on the part of the owner, also, they run forever. If you are looking for high performance, look elsewhere. If you want average performance and ease of running , it would be hard to recommend a better engine. Great for newcomers to diesel. They were originally made on the Isle of Man, but are now made elsewhere on the mainland.
