I just pulled a regular tick of my little dog last night (actually my wife did). He got it at one of our flying fields in nj...poor little guy...

Very sad after I spent all that money on his frontline tick repellant which is supposed to prevent ticks and this tick was only about 2 inches from where I applied that stuff! Go figure.

Ron - maybe apply some frontline to your body like they do for the pets??? Get the stuff labeled for dogs over 150lbs and apply between your shoulder blades and do not bathe for 3 days after application...your results may vary
