If you have a computer radio, you can use the ailevator function. At least that is how I did it. On my futaba 9C they plug into channels 2 and 8. Then you go into the ailevator function set AIL 3 and 4 to "0" (which stops the ailerons from moving with the elevators via Mix, and activates elevator movement) and Ele 1 and 2 to to "+100" or whatever max range of movement you wanna give them. That activates your elevators to move then you can just go in and trim out channels 2 and 8 for whatever rates you want. Also this allows for very precise alignment and centering of the 2 seperate elevators after you get them close at the servo and clevis.. Just my experience, take it for whatever you can get use of.
