here in the Ozarks we use Diazanon, there is talk about taking it off the market but currently it is still available. We use a 5% granule type and spread it with a broadcast seeder. It is harmless to people for the most part but works best when applied before a rain or if you water after application.
The bag probably has all the appropriate warnings on it
