Just a comment on the Windex Method. I use it and it works great for me. However, I have mostly used Ultra Cote and I have to run over the area with an iron to set the stripe, or whatever I am putting over the film already installed. Self adhesive does not require this, but the film does. I haven't used monokote so just letting it dry might work.
