Default Definitions please

I'm finishing my Venture 30. I've read the manual front to back many times, and I'm confused about what is 3-D and what is not. For fixed wing I heard it (3-D) defined as a manuver that cannot be achieved in the normal flight path of an airplane. Or more simple, a stunt a "real plane" can't do. For a heli it seems that every aerobatic manuver would then be 3-D. What is a "beginner" set up (as directed in the manual) Venture capable of? Will it hover inverted? Loop? Roll? 540 stall turns? Fly backwards? Loop backwards? How far will it go without the 3-D set up?

Thanks,
