I saw a Venture at the Hirobo cup, and (like most modern designs) it is certainly capable of 3D. Don't worry about 3D set up yet. Just do the normal flight mode with zero degrees negative pitch to learn. That said, the set up for 3D is to set one of your flight modes to have equal amounts of positive and negative pitch, and max throttle at both high and low stick, with about 40% or so at center stick.
On a heli, 3D just means radical extreme aerobatics, as opposed to FAI pattern style aerobatics (flips, funnels, aerobatic autos, chaos, etc.)
