Default Dummy

I am just finishing up my Sig SE. The almost final thing was to mount the aileron servos.

When doing this I discovered that I had screwed up my color scheme - I had planned light on the bottom and dark on the top. My horiz. stab, elevator and fuse are covered this way. The wing is dark on the bottom and light on top - same w/ ailerons. Not only does it look stupid but it might be tough to keep orientated.

I'm too cheap to buy another roll of covering and too lazy to spend another three or more hours monkeying with taking the old cover off and recovering with new.

I might try stripes or a starburst or something to help with orientation. I could try the servos on top of the wing - my colors would match but the plane would fly like crap with the incidence way off and the negative washout turning to positive. Not a good idea.

I'll either have to learn to live with it or bite the bullet and recover it. Anyone ever do anything similar?
