RE: Do I need 2 use ThreadLocker?
Speaking from experience, let me say that landing with your nose-gear swinging about in the breeze is not a pleasant experience. Yes I was a raw newbie and I hadn't been as thorough as I should have been on my pre-flight, but a little extra 'insurance' never goes amiss! Now I make sure that all of the visible screws and bolts on my plane are thoroughly snug before each flight, but since I've started using thread-lock on them I've never found one that's been loose.
Summary: Use thread locking compound on your mounting screws and bolts. Check 'em all before each flight anyway.
Cheers,
Neil.
