After you hammer your blind nuts home, use a little medium/thick CA and run it around the back edge of the blind nut where it's hammered flat against the wood it's mounted to. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO GET ANY CA INTO THE BLIND NUT THREAD!

I'm definitely of the opinion that glue is a lot cheaper than a new plane, and a little paranoia goes a long way
