The Midwest Zero is 'Stand Really far off' scale. Its a sport plane dressed up to resemble a Zero.
If you're interested in something much closer to scale check out the Marutaka Zero with the 58" span. I have their larger Zero (and a couple others) and these kits are quite accurate to scale and good fliers. However they are builders kits and not for a beginner. You'd want 3-4 kits under your belt before tackling one of these. Its available at www.hobbybarn.com for $169.
