Default RE: Go back to using 3W?? (multiple selecttion)

I'd like to make a comment about this entire "Poll"

First off, I've been a vocal detractor of the 3W engines, mainly because I've had more problems than I feel I SHOULD have from such an expensive and over-hyped product. All in all, though, my 150b2ss "TOC" engine is a GREAT engine, even though a DA carb block is now installed. I actually prefer this engine over my DA 150 (which I am trading for a BME even as I type this), because it runs VERY well, is VERY strong, and is lighter than the DA by 7-8 ounces. Other than the carb block problem it has never missed a beat or given me a problem associated with the engines design itself.

I am in the process of switching my entire inventory of engines over to BME 110's, or other BME's. It's not cheap, I'm trading 150's and 140's for the 110's, . . BUT, I will NOT be trading off or selling my 3W150!! And I would not take ANY other engine in trade for it. THAT is how much I like this engine. Of course I wish it was about 1.5 lbs lighter, but that's beside the point.

Would I buy another 3W? YES. Which would I prefer, a 3W 150 or a DA150? the 3W!! Is there anything wrong with the DA? Not really, but the power is down compared to the 3W's. What could 3W do to earn my business over any other brand? Lighten the entire line of engines 20-25%, quit with all the stupid Hype that is blatantly false, and get off the "more torque" line. Everyone knows it's a big crock!!

Now, as to this poll itself. . I find it offensive, biased, irritating, and an insult to the entire modelling community. It presumes that only DA and 3W exist, which is patently false, and is a slap in the face of SUPERIOR products from other manufacturers!!! (YES, I said SUPERIOR)

I intend to ask the RCU moderators to shut this thread down. It's nothing but inflammatory and strictly aimed at discrediting 3W engines and promoting DA engines over every other manufacturer in the market. That is neither fair, mature, nor intended to promote this hobby and the many fine products available to us.
