I've recently started following the discussion on Storchs. I have a Storch I built form Bob Holman/ Dennis Bryant a few years ago. I gave up on the model because I couldn't get it to fly well. I tried three motor sizes OS 70 FS, then a 90 FS and finally ST 90; the model weighs about 5kgs. bothof the last two motors should have been powerful enough. It flew tail down and was quite unstable. After reading the discussion on this site I decided to change the incidence, put more weight in the nose and try it again. I can change the tail plane incidence quite easily since they are plug onitems. Heres hoping;i've spent quite a lot of time on the model painting detailing etc i would like to get it flying well.
