If you like fooling around doing the work and all yes...

The basic savings is if you dink up a weed whacker motor or saw motor, most of he time you are $15.00 to $100.00 from a new motor..

Some motors I've done do cost more than one of the done up ones...
But the pride is in when you can take a $100.00 converted chainsaw motor (that you have done up yourself) and keep up with the high $$$ motors.
