RE: Do you consider checkbook modellers to be second class citizens?
Hey Sport
your right, I do buy all ARFs just for the fact I don't have the time to build, I basicly taught myself and by myself out in the middle of a barley field and when I crashed I fixed it instead of pulling out a new one, a new one only came out when I couldn't fix the old one, and I mean couldn't!! I always have a good supply in the box, being built, built, but I like to fix, its the challenge, now I like to expeirment small plane big engine= a blast I don't buy into all the hype of fancy gear, to me that just adds a problem, the only glitchs I get are from bad servos, the best radio was a futaba 6xhs I had from my heli got broke best one now is an old flash5 the rest are cheapies and work well I fly a 40giles with a piped 46fx skysport4 got an old Byron Sukhio with a Quadra Q1000b in it it goes pretty good got an old Byron pitts and a christen eagle I'm scared of the because of the second wing, one of these days[8D] 1\4 extra300 with a A&M 3.2Sachs its neat half dozen spitfires I bought from Germany still in the box tried one and flew great tell it crashed blamed it on a glitch but the other day I was robbing a servo and descovered a broken servo horn one of those ajustable ones never use those again still got planes I have really forgot about and I seem to still buy more.
Okay lets cut to the chase this won't be another long one.
Point is I love this sport I am still learning and always will be in my mind I'm just ADDICTED plain and simple
