When I started in this hobby, just after the Neolithic era, some people considered it bad to build a plane using plans, let alone buying a kit (which, at that time, didn't even use die-cutting and you had to cut out the ribs and formers yourself) or an ARF (which didn't exist then).

They were also wrong to have that opinion!

You do what you want to. It's a great hobby where you can express yourself, not a means of keeping up with other people's phobias.
