well i have two in about 10 to 11 pound planes. one is the great planes geebee. and the other is a sig rascal 110. not ment to 3 d but they hover torque roll. so i would say don't go over 11.1/2 pounds both planes hover at half throttle. had in hangar 9 edge 540 it was ok hovered at 1 click over half on 30% fuel and apc 16/8. i would say you mite pull a little heavier plane with like a apc 17/6 but speed mite not be very good.
