I believe the FXi engine comes with an air-bleed carburator, whereas the FX has a twin-needle carb. The twin-needle carb performs better and is more precise, that's why they are on the more-expensive engines. You can tell the difference by the tiny hole on the front of an air-bleed carb. Sounds like you got a good deal!
