Adrian, I'm very satisfied with the first Defiant, rolls very axial, snaps very well, and knife edge loops with no mixing. This one has a smaller wing, thicker and wider stab at the root. I am hoping the smaller wing will help in windy conditions (mainly rolling maneuvers in cross winds). We'll have to wait for the temps to rise to see. Hey, thanks for your comments on the "out of the box" look.
