Yeah it's a hell of a machine, I am having some problems with the carbon popping off. but I have a theory that the temperature changes might be a little responsible for that.

Composites are awesome for tension loading but not so good for compression.
I built mine with C/F tube .180". Just routed a groove part way through the foam for it to lay in. It may be marginally heavier than the I-Beam, mine came in at 12 oz. even. I showed it to Jeff and he said it was a lot stiffer than his. It will definately take a hit.You might keep it in mind for your next one. If you get as cocky with yours as I do with mine there will be a next one[:@]
