Cut the bottom out with a good "D" shape this will not only give good cooling but will fall on the fuzz.

The 140 is the same it needs big cut out to clear U\C etc. You might find if yours is a glass cowl it has been layed up a tad heavy. If you read RCM&E you will see a great view of the Boys hanging look at the cut out and his is electric!!!
