RE: engine for 4*40
I am assuming that since this in the beginners forum that you don't care about hovering, and all that 3d BS yet, so if you putting the four star together, you will not be dissappointed even slightly on the OS 46FX. IMO, this is the best 40-sized engine made.
I have purchased several. Most have been sold to others on planes (I put together a lot of planes for others) but my original work horse is still running. It started out on a 4-star, then after 40 or so flights, I put it on a GP Venus (awesome plane), I tore the wing up on the venus on a power dive. The engine was not harmed in the resulting crash. Cleaned it up and then put a tuned pipe on it and ran 25% nitro on a GP Patriot. Took it off the patriot in favor of a sport JETT, and installed it on my Slow Poke 40. Put more than 100 flights on the slow poke and the plane finally gave out. Took the engine off and put it in a box. Engine still runs like it was new! Only thing I ever did to it was replace the front bearing (it was getting noisy).. try that with a Evolution!!
Go with the OS... you won't be dissappointed!
