Default RE: question about p 70 or p80 engine

What kind of maintenance is need on these engines?
They need to be checked every 25 hours of operation (maybe 180 runs?) by us. THe first year or 25 hours is under warranty.

There is not really any user maintence except to charge the battery and clean the fuel filter periodically

How long do the bearing last?
We have had some last hundred and hundreds of runs. Hard to say an average. We check them at 25 hours and replace if necessary.

Can i do most of all the maintenance work myself or will i need to send the engine back to you guys?
You clean the filters and change glow plugs, we check the bearings and do any other maintainance

How long will the engines generally last?
Except for bearings, a very very long time. The pumps may go bad after several hundred runs, but that is not always the case either.

Is the cost of maintaining the engines low?
Maybe 300 bucks for 150 - 400 runs. It varies

Can i start the air start engine with my 110psi air compressor?
JetCats have on board starters. No need for air.

Will the engine run on red farm grade diesel fuel?
We recommend kerosene or jet fuel. I do not think deisel will work, it will coke up the injectors

how much will the average cost is maintenance and repairs cost me?
I already covered maintainance. Repairs can be anywhere form a couple of hundred to a couple of thousand. If you put a FOD screen over the front and do not crash you probabaly will never have any repairs.
