Exactly. You don't need a voltmeter, just fly it until it let's you know it needs recharging. (Maybe there'll be enough left of the pack to charge.

I used to fly all day without a checker. Not a good idea. Was in a thermal, dotted out, and things started getting slow. Had enough power left to give down elevator. Man, there wasn't enough of that one left to charge.
