I used a Dubro fuel filler valve in mine that is mounted on the side of the firewall that slightly extends pasts the side of the plane. This will let you place and remove the cowl without disconnecting any lines. Just cut a hole in the cowl at the point where the fuel filler valve extends past the edge of the plane for the valve to be used. Works great.
