hey
i think i emailed a few of you but your email addresses bear no resemblance to your usernames!
as some of you may know, i have just received the kit of the phoenix giles202. The motor i had selected (because i got a deal!) is the Magnum 61RFS 4stroke. But when i sat it on the metal engine mount, the rear mounted carby stops it from sitting close enough to the firewall.
I think I have either 2 options:
1) get a new plastic composite mount to suit the 4stroke
2) get a 2 stroke motor!!
I really like the idea of the 'slow sounding" 4 stroke and i think the 61 would be a good combination for the Giles as the recommended size is a 40-46 2 stroke.
Will the weight be a problem? I think the magnum 61 weighs almost 40% more than a 40 2stroke, and if it has to sit further forward, then i am going to need some lead in the tail. And from reading the posts, it seems that the Giles is already heavy enough with a high enough wing loading as it is.
Id appreciate your thoughts people..........
